I recently set up dual monitors on my graphics station. It seemed like this would make things like Photoshop easier and more efficient. Well, apparently Adobe didn’t think anybody would ever use two monitors with their software. The action prompts in Photoshop are stored in their last used location and will show up there again each time until you move them manually. What does this mean? Well, it means if you are working on monitor 1 one day, and monitor 2 the second day, then on a day to day basis, your property and action windows will pop up on the wrong monitor.

Why couldn’t they have made it so these windows would open up on the current working window? Seriously, it’s actually a fairly significant annoyance. Apparently there aren’t enough people using Photoshop with dual monitors for it to be a mainstream issue, but it was something that annoyed me immediately. Perhaps there is a way around this but there doesn’t seem to be thus far.

My name is Andrew Fischer and I’m the owner of NURV, which is a media and marketing company. We keep an active portfolio of our own websites while also developing sites for others on a continual basis. Through the course of being in the design industry, I come across all sorts of interesting tid bits of knowledge or just plain interesting info that I’ll be posting here in the future.

This blog will focus on several things, but primarily web development, digital art, and media development. Most updates will be styled in commentary form, but you’ll see things such as software/hardware reviews, tutorials, etc as well from time to time.

Make sure to subscribe to this blog. Updates may not be extremely frequent but I assure you that I’ll make up for it with the quality of the entries I do write.
